I am considerably annoyed right now because Wednesday night, Windows Movie Maker informed me that my vlog had uploaded to Youtube and I could view it online right now and GUESS WHAT? It exists. Nowhere. I don't understand and yesterday and today I will have no time to mend the situation so you'll just have to wait till tomorrow, I suppose. It's rather vexing. I hate technology sometimes. Oh. It has just informed me that my video was too long and to help that, I need to increase my time limits. M'kay....working on that...

What you said about getting new story ideas is so similar to the way it happens to me, it's almost scary. :) So often I'll have a great idea in an intriguing setting with wonderful characters...and then I'll come to senses and realize I know nothing whatsoever about aviation, or amnesia, or 19th-century textile mills...and so they go on the "someday" shelf in case I should ever nerve myself to do the loads of research required. After I finish all my half-written projects.
Apple pie is my absolute favorite dessert. For the past couple years I've been whipping them together with (dreadful confession) store-bought crusts, but I am going to make my own crust this year.

I know: isn't it horrible what ideas are killed by sheer lack of time for research? XD I think of a scene in 'Have His Carcase':

But she had always avoided sea-and-shore problems, just precisely on account of the labour involved."
Oh, I love this vlog, Rachel! A vlog always feels like you're talking to the blogger in person, and it's wonderful to see you talk. I'm so grateful to the Lord for technology.
The next Vivi and Farnham mystery! Yaaayyyy!!! If you could choose one book your readers would eagerly look forward to, I do believe it would be that. I can't wait for more of those two, and have high hopes for a couple of side characters that I would love to see return. :) Hope your writing goes well!
Interesting that you say Louisa May Alcott influenced your writing style. I always stuck to small families because I didn't know if a book could handle a superfluity of children, but I had forgotten how well she handled them. I loved Eight Cousins, An Old-Fashioned Girl, etc, and my sister is reading Rose in Bloom right now. She was a favorite around our house, and I'm so glad you like her.
And thank-you muchly for answering my question about the music! I'm going to have to look up the lady you mentioned. I'm not at all familiar with English folk, but the Irish stuff I listen to all the time....
